I'm so glad you're here! Each week my goal is to bring you actionable and timeless business principles, strategies, and tactics so you can brew a business for the Glory of God and the good of His Kingdom.
I aim to teach from a relational and holistic perspective that is steeped in both biblical truth and business discernment - sharing the successes and failures I've experienced from 7+ years of studying and building online businesses. This is going to be so much fun!

Have you ever built up a task in your mind that you've been putting out for so long to become almost insurmountable? Maybe it's a small thing, maybe it's a big goal, maybe it's a dream you're working towards, but you've had to wait for so long, whether for good reasons or because you've just not been brave enough to take the step forward, whatever the case may be, the task becomes gigantic and you feel like you can't approach it.
It's just too big, there's too much stuff to do. And then you feel like when you do approach it, it must be executed to perfection. Because you've waited for so long, you've been thinking about it for so long, you've been praying about it for so long, you've been eagerly waiting for so long that it just becomes too big, too big to overcome. Well, that's what this podcast has become for me.
I have wanted to launch this podcast, the Business Brewery podcast for, I don't know, six-plus years, and I've been actively working towards launching this podcast for two years. In fact, I've had two interviews recorded, I've had introductions recorded for over a year and a half, and for some reason, I paused it in faithful waiting, and for lots of reasons, and more often than not, I have just felt too overwhelmed at the idea of publishing it. This isn't even the first podcast I've been able to host. And I know the work involved, and I know that it's not really all that hard at the end of the day, but I have made it out to be this big deal. And I kind of think that relates to all of us in one way or another, especially as it relates to our businesses. At the end of the day, business is not all that complicated. At the end of the day, the foundations of business are very simple. It's the mental drama that holds us back. That makes it so overwhelming and feels so complicated to us.

DUSTY (02:22.014)I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm just so happy that you're here. This podcast truly has been on my heart for that long. And this is not me exaggerating. This is just the truth of the matter. The Business Brewery is a business strategy meets biblical discipleship podcast. My goal is to equip you with strategy, tactics, with marketing know-how to brew a business that brings you joy, and that serves your people so well as you seek to glorify God in all you do.
Because at the end of the day, you can have the very best strategies, a most immaculate marketing plan, and the most incredibly thorough systems in place for your business. You can reach great financial success just by doing those things. But if you're not walking in step with the king, this business that you've built will rob you of so very much.
So here on the Business Brewery Podcast, we're going to dive deep into business strategy to build your offering, marketing, sales, tactics, and systems.
We're going to be able to bring on guest experts and all of the nitty gritty bits to building a business that can grow and that can bring you great joy and serve those people that you love so much very, very well. And we're going to do it all from the lens of biblical truth, all from the lens of scripture so that we can keep our eyes fixed firmly on our creator. fixed firmly on God. I am so passionate about websites because it's so much more
than just a website. Your website is your dreams set into motion. It pulls together all of the different aspects of your business, your business model, your overall business strategy, your marketing, your offering structure, and the value of your services. And to be honest, in 2023, your website is what makes your business real. Your website is that important. It represents you, your values, your quality of work, and your ability to serve your clients. And it's so much of where your client's journey takes place.
And I think hearing all of that, it would be very easy to feel immediately overwhelmed and just as I have felt about this podcast, like it's an insurmountable task, something that you know you need to get done, something that you've put off for so long because it is a lot of work, I have to be honest with you, but it is not complicated work. It is at its core, very simple. And in my opinion, it's very, fun.
DUSTY (04:44.802)If for you right now, your business doesn’t doesn’t feel fun. If for you right now, this feels overwhelming, you are in the right place, my friend. My goal is to make this whole process of brewing a business of brewing a website that energizes your business so much fun, and so effective, because I think it's easy to trade one for the other. We tend to think that if something is effective, if it's going to be successful, then it lacks fun. If something is fun, then it's going to lack the financial, emotional, the result-focused success that we really crave. And I'm here to tell you, I don't think that that's true even a little bit. And I would imagine at your core, you also don't think that that's true.
DUSTY (05:33.598)A well-designed business and a well-built website will serve your clients even when you're off the clock. And that's really a true gift because my guess is that's why you're here in the first place, right? Is to serve your people well, to use your talents, your gifts, your skillsets, and whatever callings God has placed on your life here and now, right here today, to love your people, and to glorify God in all that you do. Because same, that is also why I'm here.
That's why I felt like this was over the top overwhelming of a task to conquer because I really care a whole lot about it and I want to do a good job and I allowed myself to sit in the fear of it rather than taking faithful steps forward.
