A Simple Strategic Plan Framework to Get Unstuck (That you’ll actually follow through on.)
For the business owner who is ready to stop chasing trends

STEP 1: Identify your core values.
Your content, your messaging, your offerings, and even the people you work with will all flow through these.
Identify them. Define them. And keep them in a place where you can reference them often.
These values are your filter. They’ll help you make confident decisions, stay grounded when trends try to sway you, and build a business that actually feels like you.
Examples:
If integrity is one of your values, you might decide never to use urgency tactics that feel manipulative (no fake countdown timers here).
If rest is a value, you might intentionally block off Fridays for deep work or Sabbath instead of client-facing work.
STEP 2: Get clear on your “core offer.”
This is the product or service you want to be known for—the main thing you sell. All your other offers, freebies, content, and marketing efforts should flow into this core offer.
Not sure what that offer is yet? Start with what you love doing, what actually gets results, and what your audience is already asking you for.
Examples:
If you're a coach, your core offer might be a 12-week 1:1 coaching program—and every Instagram tip, podcast episode, and lead magnet would point back to it.
If you’re a designer, your core offer could be a signature brand and website package that serves your ideal client from start to finish.
STEP 3: Figure out who your people are.
Who are you wanting to work with? What’s their character like? What are their core values? This isn’t just about demographics. It’s about heart. Where do your core values and their core values overlap?
THIS is the content + offering gold mine.
When you know your people and what matters to them, you stop shouting into the void and start connecting with the people you’re truly meant to serve.
Examples:
Maybe you’re a therapist who wants to work with Christian moms navigating burnout—so your messaging speaks to their desire for peace, not hustle.
Or you're a copywriter who loves working with authors—so you create content around storytelling, book marketing, and brand clarity.
STEP 4: Create “source content.”
Think or source content like a master piece of content that will act as the starting point you’ll use to break down into bite-sized content depending on the platform, marketing campaign, or goal. This could be a podcast, YouTube channel, or Substack. Pick one or two and go all in.
Bonus tip: Whatever you choose, make sure you’re also adding it to your website to boost your SEO.
Examples:
You could record a weekly podcast episode, then repurpose it into Instagram posts, an email newsletter, and a blog article (like this one!).
Or you could write one long-form Substack post, then turn snippets into tweet-style quotes and Reels scripts.
Once you have these pieces in place, put it all in motion.
It doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact, the simpler you let this process be, the more likely you are to follow through.
